1: Ask a downpour (mathar) of Yehoweh in the time of the gleaning rain (malkosh – spring after the first harvest ~Pentecost).
Thunderbolt and downpour making Yehoweh gives rain (geshem) to them, a plant in a cultivated field to a man.

2: For household-healing-idols (t’rapha-im) had spoken wicked-evil (Aven – like rasha – is immoral and never attributed to God vs ra’a which is troublesome evil which in certain circumstances God can do).
And diviners had envisioned lies and dreams. They speak the vanity (Shav). They still* comfort (*paragogic nun after nacham) with futility (hebel). Upon which they pack up (nasu = pull out tent pegs in preparation to go) like sheep. They are depressed (anah) for there isnt any pasturer/ shepherd.
Phew!
3: My temper burned (khara) against the pasturers (haroim) and the male goats. I appoint-to-hold to account. Yehoweh of Parliaments appointed-to-hold to account the/time of His flock – the/time of Judah’s house. And He set them as a splendrous horse in battle.
4: From Him, a corner.
From Him a tent-peg.
From Him a battle bow.
From Him emerges every taskmaster as one.
5: And they happened to be trampling mighty men on muddy street battles.
And they were battled for Yehoweh with them caused riders on horses to be shamed.
6: And I had empowered^* the/time of the house of Judah and the/time of the house of Joseph. I cause to save them and cause them to turn back for I had (motherly) mercy on them and it was as though I had not spurned them. For I am Yehoweh their God and I reply (am held accountable to?) them.
8: I whistle (Shepherd’s call) for them and I gather-to-harvest/assemble them. For I had ransomed them and had made them great as they had been great (the redeemed (Judah and Joseph) already made great by God vs MAGA which is ongong human national effort).
9: And I sow them among peoples and in remote/far-off places.
And they remember me and they had lived. They turned back to the/time of their children.
10: And I had caused them to turn back (shoov) from a land of Egypt (pl of matsor – defended safe places / fortresses) and from Ashur** (Assyria – Shem’s second son, blessed/happy) and I gather-to-harvest/assemble them.
And I cause them to traverse into a land of Gilead (Gal=waves* + ed= witness/ testimonies, Laban (Aramean/Syrian) – Jacob memorial cairn in East Jordan where Reuben, Gad and Manasseh have inheritances Amos 1:3) and Lebanon (word play on Laban/ make white / make bricks – like Laban exploited Joseph / heart ) and (until) no more of them are found.
11: And He^ had crossed over into a water/sea of constricting-affliction (Tsara).
And He^ had caused to strike waves (Gal as in Gilead*) in a water/sea.
And He^ had caused the depths of a river (yaeor rather than ha’yaeor – the river – which refers to the Nile) to be shamed/dried up.
And the pride of Ashur**/Assyria had been caused to be brought down.
And the sceptre/tribe of Mitsarim/Egypt turns aside.
12: And I had empowered^* them in Yehoweh and in His^ Name, Word (Naeum) Yehoweh (Yshua), they make themselves walk themselves.
Pause and think about that!
Prayer: O Lord Jesus You held us (Jews and Added-on-people) to account but made us battle strong. We come back from where they used to exploit us, from where we had no Shepherd and from where we were exiled. We are Yours, Jesus, again. Jesus, like Moses, is striking and drying up a river and a sea, to let us cross over and we, Jews and added-on people, commit to walking with You. You sow us in remote places. Saved!
