Lamentations 4: Desecrators desecrated. Our Messiah’s Spirit perfectly finishes covering our sin.

1: How (Ayka א1 – – also the name of Lamentations – chapters 1,2 also start with Ayka, chapters 1-4 are acrostic – each verse of ch 1,2,4 and every 3 verses of ch 3 begin with a Hebrew alphabet, ch 5 follows no pattern!) gold is darkened! The good gold ore alters and is caused to be poured out on holy stones at the head of every /at the first of every outside place.

Pause and think about that.

2: Sons(Bni ב2) of Zion The precious and measured-to-standard are as fine gold. How were they thought of as clay bottles, a work of the potter’s hand?

Pause and think about that.

3: Also (Gam ג3) jackals/ sea monsters  draw out a breast to cause their cub to suckle.  Cruelty to a daughter of My people  (is) like ostriches in the desert (tanim (8577) and yanah (3284) also occur together in Job 30:29, Is 13:22, 34:13, 43:20 in relationship to a day of God’s Judgement – suckling jackals vs irresponsible ostrich mothers leaving their eggs unprotected in the desert).

Pause and think about that.

4:  A Suckling’s tongue had stuck (Dabak ד4) to its palate for thirst. Children ask for bread, no one breaks it for them.

Pause and think about that.

5: Eaters (Ha’okelim ה5) of delicacies are appalled outside. Those who were afffirmed (amen-ed) in scarlet embraced dung hills.

Pause and think about that.

6:  And greater is (Va’yigdal ו6) futile-sin of my peoples daughter than Sodom’s missing-the-mark-sin. Overturned in a blink. And they had not wrung their hands for her.

Pause and think about that.

7: Purer (Zakku ז7) than snow had been her Nazarites, dazzling like milk, their bones had been more reddened than coral branches/angles(?), their polish – sapphire.

Pause and think about that.

8: Dark (Khashak ח8) like coal/black (is) their silhouette now – not recognized outside. Their skin had clung to their bones. It had become dry/ withered as wood.

Pause and think about that.

9: Better (Thovim ט9) those pierced by the sword than those pierced by hunger,  (than) those who are pierced who gush out fruit/produce of a field.

Pause and think about that.

10:  Hands (Yadim י10) of Motherly-compassionate young women had boiled (bashal) their own children. They had become for eating (barah), to them for a shattering (bashever) of my people’s daughter.

Pause and think about that.

11: He had finished-off (Kala כ11) – (ie) Yehoweh – the/time of His Fury. He had poured out His burning temper. He kindles a fire in Zion. She consumes her foundations.

Pause and think about that.

12:  No (Lo ל12) earthly kings nor all world residents had cause to confirm that an oppressor and an enemy traverses through Jerusalem’s gates.

Pause and think about that.

13: For a missing-the-mark-sin (M’katha מ13) of a prophet, for futile-sins of her priests, who are pourers of blood of the just ones in their midst.

Pause and think about that.

14:  They had quivered (Nau נ14) – (ie) the blind – outside. They had been desecrated with blood in that they would not touch their garments.

Pause and think about that.

15: “Turn-aside (Suru ס15), Unclean”, they had cried to them.  “Turn-aside, Turn-aside. Don’t touch”. For they had fled. They had quivered. They had said to unbelieving nations that they did not cause to add sojourning (no in-comer quotas).

Pause and think about that.

16: Yehoweh’s face (P’ni פ16) had apportioned them (lined them up). There is no cause to increase priests’ faces to be made to be regarded.  (And) They had not lifted up and had not favoured the [elderly].

Pause and think about that.

17: Still she (Adenai ע17) finishes us off. In the keeping watch (with)our eyes for help (is) vain.

We had kept watch for an unbelieving nation. It does not cause to save us.

Pause and think about that.

18:  They hunted our steps (Tsadu tsa’adenu צ18) in walking in our plazas. Our end had approached. Our days had been topped up (filling finished). For our end had come.

Pause and think about that.

19: Swifter (Kalim ק19) had been our pursuers than heaven’s eagles.  They had hotly-pursued us over the mountains. They had laid-ambush (Arab) for us in the deserts.

Pause and think about that.

20: Spirit (Ruach ר20) of our nostrils is Yehoweh’s  Messiah – He had us snatched from their perils – of whom we had said, “We happen to be under His Shadow among the unbelieving nations”.

Pause and think about that.

21: Rejoice (Shishi ש21) and be glad, daughter of Edom ( Esau’s, southeast dead sea, those who gave inheritance for earthly pleasures, Jer 49:7 Amos 1:11 Dan 11:41 ), dwellers in the land of Uts (where Job (1:1)  lived, Shem’s grand son through Aram Gen 10:23, Abraham’s brother Nahor’s eldest Gen 22:21, Edomite territory). A cup crosses over to you also. You get drunk and make yourself naked.

Pause and think about that.

22: Perfectly-finished (Them from Thamim ת22) is your futile-sin (Aven), daughter of Zion (spiritual home of God and His people). He does not cause to add causing you to be bared.

He had you appointed-to-hold-to-account, daughter of Edom. He had bared your missing-the-mark-sin.

Pause and think about that.

Prayer:

O Messiah, snatch us away by Your Spirit in our breath from  desecrating priests and prophets, snatch us away from irresponsible evil ostrich-mother ways of materialists . Because of Your perfectly finished work, God will cause our  futile-sin not to be bared. Thank You Jesus.

PS vv 10-20 is about Zion:

The Prophets and priests of the time are missing the mark and are in futile sinful pursuit of desecrating with blood (assigning criminal blame?) to the just, the blind (no place in the kingdom for them they say). Yehoweh is lining priests up for whom there is no more regard, no regard for elders and no regard for His people’s abortion supporting daughter (meaning the end of the Zion (church & Israel) age? And/or for episcopalians, presbyterians, etc?).
