1: In the third year of Koresh the king of Paras, a speech was uncovered to Daniel who was called Beltheshatsar. He had discerned that the true speech and the great Parliament at the/time of the speech and the understanding of the sight.
2: In those days, I, Daniel, had happened to make myself lament three days of weeks.
3: I did not eat pleasant food. No meat or wine traversed my my mouth. I did not smearingly smear (no lotion/oil) till the days of three weeks were filled.
Phew!
4: And on the 24th day of the first new moon/month, and I happened to be on the right hand of the great river -it is Kidekel (Tigris).
5: I lift the/time of my eyes and I see. And Behold, one man clothed in linen whose waist is belted with pure Ufaz (dialect for Ophir/ south India) gold (katem not usual zakav).
6: His body was like beryl (Tarshish, gold coloured stone/topaz, 4th row on high priestly breastplate Exod 28:20,39:13, on fallen angel in God’s garden Ezek 28:15, 8th foundation of New Jerusalem Rev 21:20).

And his face looked like a lightning flash.
And his eyes like torch-lights (of) fire.
And his arms and his feet, like (his) eyes, polished bronze.
And a speech voice like a voice of tumult.
7: And I, Daniel, have seen, on my own, the/time of the sight.
And the men who were with me had not seen the/time of the sight. No!
The great quaking had fallen upon them and they bolt into hiding.
8: And I had remained on my own and I see the/time of this the great sight.
And no stickability-strength (endurance, ko) or comeliness (khodo) was remained in me for destruction. I had not retained any endurance.
9: And I hear the sound of his speech. And as I hear the sound of his speech, it happened that I was put into deep sleep (radam – sedative anaesthesia – same as Adam’s sleep in Gen 2:21) on my face – and my face on a land (face-plant).
10: And behold, a hand (fem). She touched me and made me tremble in my knees and palms of my hands.
11: And He said to me, “Daniel, coveted man, Cause to understand the speeches which I speak to you. And take a stand to your stand. For now I had been despatched to you”.
And in speaking to me in the/time of this his speech, I stood shuddering.
12: And He said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel. For from the first day that you gave your heart to cause understanding and made yourself humble before your God’s face, your speeches had been heard. I, I came for your speeches.
13: And a Paras kingdom’s Prince had taken a stand opposite me for 21 days. And behold, Michael (Mi who – ka like – El), one of the princes, the firsts, came to help me. And I had been left there beside Paras kings.
14: And now I came to cause understanding the /time that is appointed to your people in the latter days. For a vision is still for many days”.
15: And when he spoke speeches like this to me, I had given my face to the land and I had been muffled/bound/dumb.
16: And behold the likeness of sons of Adam touching over my lips. And I open my mouth and I speak. And I say to one who stands before me,
“My Lord, I was converted in sight of my messenger to me. And I had not retained enduring-strength.
17: For how is my lord’s servant able to speak of this with my lord? This? And for now, I cannot stand in my enduring-strength and no breath remained in me”.
18: And He causes to add on and he touches me in likeness of a man and he causes to strengthen me.
19: And he said, “Do not fear, coveted man. Shalom to you. Be strong and be strong”.
And in speaking to me, I had made myself strong and I say, “My lord, I speak for you have strengthened me”.
20: And he say, “Do you know why I came to you and now I turn back?
To be fought by a Paras (Persian) Prince (sir).
And I go forth and behold a Yavan (Greek) Prince comes.
21: Nevertheless I certify to you what is recorded in a book of truth.
And anyone, one who makes himself strong against me, over these except for Michael your prince.
Phew!
Prayer:
Lord, may Your princes in heavenly realms who are like men and like sons of man, guide and fight for nations and for our earthly princes to turn or turn back to you. May we too be coveted by you and like Daniel’s discernment as he fasted and prayed, may we too discern the times and know that our times are in Your Hands and we have Your Shalom and Your endurance-strength.
Amen.
