1: For no hovering gloom for those in a mould of themselves.
As in the first time he had caused to trivialise the land of Zebulun (Leah’s sixth, dwelling with honour, northern traders on main trade routes to Sidon positing them for a trade route and a spread of gospel to the nations, responders to Deborah and Barak, Gen 30:19, 49:13, Judg 5:14) Jesus moves to Capernaum to fulfill this Matt 4:15-16) and the land of Naphthali (Bilhah Rachel’s second, pthal – wrestle of Rachel with Leah, the tribe is a doe with fawns, favoured and blessed by the Lord in Galilee, Barak, tribe responds to Gideon, one of the tibes assigned land in Ezekiel, Gen 30:7, 49:21, Deut 33:23, Judg 4:6, 6:35, Ezek 48:3, Jesus’ Galilee ministry is to fulfill this Matt 4:15-16).
And so in the end, He had caused glorifying of the sea way crossing-over The Jordan (yarad – descend), Galilee of the unbelieving nations.
2: The darkeness-walking people had seen a great light.
Light had illuminated the shadow-of-death-land residing people.
3: You had not caused to increase an unbelieving nation.
You had caused to make their joy great. They had rejoiced in front of Your Face for joy of reaped-harvest, for the twirling-gladness of those handing out booty.
4: For You have caused the/time of the yoke-burden and the/time of the rod on shoulder, the hard-pressing staff to be shattered as in Midyan’s day (Abraham and Keturah’s Son’s people who settled south east of Jordan, became traders (took Joseph), followed a syncretic religion (Abraham’s + Canaanite fertility religion – Jethro, Moses’ wife. Also Mede – tribes of Japheth in north Persia, Zagros mountains, its capital Hamadan where Esther and Mordechai’s tombs are, also much later is a Mahdi 12th imam supposed to be Shia messiah who died without issue and his birthday is still celebrated in spring in Qom, Iran and a Mahdi end-of-age messiah is expected by both Shias and Sunnis).
5: For every battling military boot in an earthquake and every rolled-up-in blood garment had happened to become for burning as fire fuel.
6: For a Child had been born / ‘childed’ to us
A Son had been given to us.
And it happened that the contention (misra fron sara=contending, same as Sara in Israel (Jacob wrestling with God), and part of Sar=prince (sir), so more opposition in the government than the majority) had been on His shoulder.
And He had called His Name Miracle-wonder (Pele) Advisor (Yoetz from Yaatz) God (El) Mighty Man (Givor) Forever-Father (Abi-adh) Peace/wholeness Prince (Sar Shalom).
7: There is no end of the increase ( m (ם רבה Instead of מ !! Closed womb/water instead of open in pictographic alphabet https://www.hoshanarabbah.org/pdfs/closed_mem.pdf , or a scribal error?) + Raba) of contention and of peace /wholeness over David’s throne and over His Kingdom.
For making it firmed up and for sustaining it in justice and in righteousness in the now and forever and ever. Yehoweh of Parliaments’s ardour does this.
Pause and think about that!
8: Yehoweh sent word to Jacob (heel-grabber/opportunist) and it had fallen-down in Israel (God-strife, I – sara -el).
9: And all the people of Ephraim (covered/fruitful replaced by Joseph in Rev 7:4,8) had understood.
And Shomron’s (watcher, Omri’s central Israel capital to compete with Jerusalem) dweller, in pride and greatness of heart, to say
10: to bricks ( l+ bana – man’s efforts to build), they had fallen-down.
And we build (n + bana) a cut-thing (gaza = cutting umbilical cord).
Sycamores (shikma – multipurpose (figs and cheap timber) lowland trees which grow where cedars don’t) were cut-down (gadha)
and we substitute (n+ khalaf) cedars (araz – to gather, tall mountain / Lebanese trees, good quality construction wood and used in red heifer and other sacrifices).
11: And Yehoweh fortressed Retzin’s (King Retzin (Favour) of Aram (Shem’s son, Syria) and Feka (open, Remliahu’s son (Yah+bedecked, not of royal lineage, a military leader who sought frenemy support against Judah) son, king of Israel were called The firebrands and the smokes who counselled evil Isaiah 7: 4,5. The High priests rejected Jesus because the man born blind was healed on a Sabbath just after an attempt was made on His life John 9:10-34. Pharisees befriended Herodians, sought to destroy Him Mark 3:6. Retsin and Remaliah’s son are forerunners of the house divided against itself Mark 3:26 on the pool of Siloam incident) oppressors against him and He hedges in the/time of his enemies
12: from ancient / east, Syria (m’ kedem Aram, Shem’s 5th son, citadel, Laban, Naaman, Aramaic, destroued by Assyria 732BC during Isaiah’s time 760-673 BC), from latter / west, Philistines (wallow, south West coastal plain of Canaan – Gaza, Ashklon, Ashdod, Gath, Ekron).
And they gobble up the/time of Israel with their whole mouth. And in all this, His temper had not turned back and His Hand still stretched out.
13: And the people had not turned back to The Smiter and they had not sought the/time of Yehoweh of Parliaments.
Pause and think about that!
14: And in one day, Yehoweh had cut down from Israel, head and tail, palm branch and reed ( Isaiah 19:15 says same thing about Philistines):
15: The head is an uplifted / prominent face of an elder and the tail is a prophet causing lies to be taught (yara – also to throw/cast/project, ‘torah’ derives from it).
16: And it happens that this the blessed/happy people, errant and blessed and engulfed,
17: and then on the young men, Lord does not rejoice.
And He does not have compassion (rakham) on the/time of their fatherless and the/time of their widows, on every godless evildoer and every foolishness speaking mouth. And in all this, His temper had not turned back and His Hand still stretched out.
18: For wickedness burnt as a fire. She ate thorn and thistle and she set fire to the forest thicket and it made itself spiral up in majestic smoke.
19: By Yehoweh of Parliaments’ wrath is the land scorched.
And it happens that the people are as fuel for the fire.
A man does not spare his brother.
20: And he bisects on the right and he had been hungry and he eats on the left and he had not been satisfied. A man eats the flesh of his arm/strength.
21: Manasseh the/time of Ephraim,
Ephraim the/time of Manasseh (12 City gates listed where Joseph and Levi replace Ephraim and Manasseh Ezek 38:30-35 while retaining the usual 12 tribe list but with different territorial boundaries Ezek 38:1-30, Joseph and Levi replace Ephraim (and Dan) Revelation 7: 4-8)
As one they are against Judah.
And in all this, His temper had not turned back and His Hand still stretched out.
Pause and think about that.
Prayer:
Thank You, Yehoweh of Parliaments who sent us His Miracle-working counsellor, mighty Man-God, Forever Father, Prince of peace.
We know that if we turn on ourselves, a house divided, Your Sent-out Word falls and we don’t turn back to You. But Your anger will not turn back and Your Hand stretches out to, one day, cut some of us down. Lord please work a miracle in our hearts. Amen.
