1: For behold in those days and at that time of when I cause the captives of Judah and Jerusalem to turn back.
2: And the/time I had gathered to harvest/assemble the unbelieving nations and had caused them to descend to a valley of God-Judgement (Jeho-shafat) and I was judged with them there over my inheritance Israel who had been scattered among the unbelieving nations and the/time of my land which they had divided.
3: They had thrown lots for My people and had given the boy for a harlot and had sold the girl for wine and they drink.
4: And also, Tyre and Sidon and all Plesheth (philistine) surroundings, what are you to Me? The deal (gamul) for you making peace over Me?
And if you are dealing (gamul) over Me, I hurriedly light-footedly cause to turn back your deal over your own head/to your beginning.
5: For which you had taken My silver and my gold and caused the good and My precious delights to come and go in your temples.
6: You had sold the sons of Judah and the sons of Jerusalem to the sons of the Greece (western world) in order that they are keeping distance from their borders (gabul).
7: Behold I cause them to wake up from the place where you had sold them. From there they cause your deal (gabul) to turn back over your own head/to your beginning.
8: And I had sold the/time of your sons and the/time of your daughters to the hand of sons of Judah and they sold them to Shvaim (south Arab trading people – Oman has Ethiopian mix/Yemen/SW Saudi – Shva was Dedan’s (of judgement fame) sibling from either Shem (Gen 10:28) Cush (Gen 10:8) or Abraham and Keturah’s Gen 25:3)), to a far off unbelieving nation.
For Yehoweh had spoken.
Pause and think about that!
9: Call this out in unbelieving nations:
Separate (as in make holy) for war.
Cause the mighty warriors to wake up.
All men of the war approach and ascend.
10: Shatter your ploughshares into swords and your shears (pruning knives) into spears (opposite of Isaiah 2:4).
The weak say “I am mighty”.
11: Assemble and traverse all surrounding unbelieving nations gathered there to assemble (kavatz). Yehoweh causes your mighty ones to be depressed.
12: Wake up and ascend! The unbelieving nations are over a valley of God-Judgement (Jeho-shafat). For there I settle to judge All the/time of surrounding unbelieving nations.
13: Send for a sickle for a harvest was boiled. Traverse and descend for a wine press is full. The wine vats are caused to overflow. For troublesome-evil (ra’a) is great.
14: The tumult! The tumult! In a valley of incisive-ness (karutz – threshing sledge).
For a day of Yehoweh is at hand in a valley of incisive-ness.
15: Sun and moon (yarach) had darkened, stars gather-to-remove (asaf) brightness.
16: And Yehoweh, from Zion, roars.
From Jerusalem, He gives His voice.
And skies and land had quaked.
And Yehoweh is a shelter for His people and a place of safety (fortress) for sons of Israel.
17: And/so you had known that I am Yehoweh your God settling down in Zion, My Holy mountain.
And it happened that Jerusalem was holy and no foreigners ascend up to her again.
Pause and think about that!
18: And it happened in that day that the mountains drip new wine. And the hills walk/flow (halak) with milk (kahlav) and all Judean brooks walk/flow with water and in Yehoweh’s house, fountains (ayin) go forth and caused streams to water the/time of Acacia (Shittah are dry knarled desert trees).
19: It happens that Egypt (Mitsarim pl of matsor – defended safe places/ fortresses) is for waste/desolation.
It happens that Edom ( Esau’s, southeast dead sea, those who gave inheritance for earthly pleasures, Jer 49:7 Amos 1:11 Dan 11:41 ) is for a barren/desert desolation from sons of Judah’s Hamas (violence) who spill innocent blood in their land.
20: And Judah endures forever and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
21: And I had made innocent/blameless their not-blameless blood.
And Yehoweh dwells in Zion.
Prayer:
Yehoweh our blood guilty hearts fear your judgement. We of the old and new covenants have chosen political sides and devised the art of making deals but we are blood guilty. You exiled Your people for 2000 years and Your Temple is destroyed and Your politics divided amongst those by whom You are judged!! So whether Covenanters or not, we we ought to be afraid of Your might and wrath but thank You for considering Covenanters innocent despite our blood guilt. Thank You for being our refuge and stronghold despite us taking sides. Please convince the uncovenanted to repent that they may not be burned to stubble. Lord let generational new-covenant flame burn from the forever old-covenant fire (Obad 1:18) again!

The last day of Passover (Passover 8, 9 April 2026, Thursday) ends with news of IDF’s operation ‘Eternal Darkness’ paralysing around a 100 Hezbollah command and Control centres in a few minutes of combined targeted attacks (though innocent lives are also reported lost from Beirut). (v19)

The middleman of a faiked post ceasefire deal (Pakistan) calls Israel an evil cancer. The US and Israel indicate readiness to resume whilst Hezbollah and IRGC continue to send missiles into UAE and Israel. (v9-12)
If this then is the blueprint, and they resort to making a deal trying to over-rule God, then they will be sold out to Saudi /Oman/Yemen and the US (v8) and His spiritual action to His people is that God will judge as innocent His blood-guilty sons (v21).
As old and new covenanters, we, however, do not need to fear a judgement day even if God is judged by unbelieving nations. We carry blood-guilt and are by no means innocent but thank Yehoweh for not holding us to it. Old Covenanters are forever, New Covenanters from generation to generation. Yehoweh is our refuge and stronghold (v16).
