1: To the head of the choir master family, to the sons of bald men (Korah). A melody for young women.
Our God for us is a retreat and strength, a very much found help (Ezra) in distress.
2: And so we fear not even if earth is made to change and the mountains totter (Moth – infinitive) into the heart of the seas,
3: its waters roar (Hama – imperfect) and boil (khamar) and quake, mountains swelling up.
Pause and Think about that!
4: River’s tributaries gladden God’s city – The Holy dwelling of God Most High.
5: God is amongst her. She is not tottered (Moth – Passive Nifal imperfect). God helps (Ezra) at turn of dawn.
6: Unbelieving nations roared (Hama – perfect),
tottered (moth perfect) in Kingdoms.
He gave His voice.
Earth melted.
7: Yehoweh of Parliaments With Us (Immanu) is to us our refuge.
Pause and Think about that!
8: Come! See Yehoweh’s performance which had established (Saam) horrors (Shamoth) on earth.
9: He makes sabbath(rest) of wars to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow. He cut off the spear. He burns the chariots in a fire.
10: Make yourself go limp! (Rafa – how is it different to heal?)
Know that I am God!
I rise in unbelieving nations.
I rise on earth.
11: Yehoweh of Parliaments With Us (Immanu) is to us our refuge.
Pause and Think about that!
Prayer: Lord we do not fear elections, rebellious parliamentary laws, courts or armies. Our resurrected Immanuel is Risen. Our Yehoweh is the God of Parliaments! Amen.
