Psalm 29: Worship Him! Beautifully Holy King Yehoweh’s Voice  roars in north, shatters, carves fire over the waters, whirls in the southern desert giving us strength and peace in our time. 

1: For David’s instrumental:

Ascribe to Yehoweh, sons of El’s people / gods (Elim or El+im?),

Ascribe to Yehoweh glory (kavod – weight) and strength.

2:  Ascribe to Yehoweh His Glory Name!

Make yourselves prostrate yourselves to Yehoweh in beauty (of) holiness (4/5 kadara is with kodesh Strong’s 1927).

3: Yehoweh’s voice is over the waters –

The glory of El caused a roar

Yehoweh is over a great-many waters. 

4: Yehoweh’s voice is like a strong adhesive (ko- lizard, it sticks)

Yehoweh’s voice is beautiful

5: Yehoweh’s voice shatters cedars and Yehoweh shatters cedars of Lebanon. 

6: And He causes them to skip like a calf of Lebanon and Sirion (Mt Hermon Deut 3:8, in the north, half Manasseh territory taken from Amorites,? Mt of transfiguration)

like a son of young oxen.

7: Yehoweh’s voice carves flames from fire (Obadiah 1:18:  flame – Joseph, fire – Jacob, stubble – Esau). 

8: Yehoweh’s voice whirls (‘kool’) in a desert.

Yehoweh makes Kadesh’s (southern border Ezek 47:19, 48:28 , NE Sinai peninsula modern day Ain Qadis or qudeirot, waiting to enter promised land – 12 spies return there, Moses struck a rock there, Miriam died there, also means male prostitute) desert whirl (hifil of kool). 

9: Yehoweh’s voice twirls (Piel of kool) deer (pl) and strips honeycombs / forests

And in His Temple / palace, all are saying ‘Glory’.

10: Yehoweh had dwelt at The Flood,

And Yehoweh dwells as king forever.

11:  Yehoweh gives strength to His people

He Blesses (piel of baruch) the/ time of (Eth if it isn’t a direct obj marker) of His people with peace.

 

Prayer: Our Yehoweh, we worship and bow down. Your holiness is beautiful. The glory of Your Name is strong. Your Voice, Yehoweh, roars, shatters and whirls feom north to south. Your Voice, Yehoweh, carves out a flame of  Joseph (added on christians) from the fire of Jacob ( chosen ones) and all of us together cry Glory in Your Palace and all  of us together get Your Strength and Your Peace in our time.  Hallelujah.
