Psalm 1:  The  Righteous tree-man transplanted, wicked husk blown away.

1: Happy the man who

had not walked in the plans of the wilfully troublesome and

had not stood in the paths of those who miss-the-mark sin,

had not settled for the assembly of the scornful.

2: For if* his pleasure (kafetzo) ( is) in Yehoweh’s instruction manual (Torah) and

in His instruction manual he mutters/meditates  day and night,

3: and he became like a tree transplanted on an irrigation channel of water

who gives fruit at its time and

its leaf does not fall and

all which he does makes a profit.

4: Not so the wicked ones.

For if * like a husk (kamotz) which the wind (Spirit) tosses off.

5: Over then to the wicked ones:

They do not rise up to

mishfat (shafat is sentencing/making laws)

and the miss-the-mark sinful ones (do not rise up to)

the council of the Righteous ones.

6: For discerning Yehoweh (is) the righteous ones’ Way (Jn 14:6 I am The Way).

And the wicked ones’ way perishes.

Prayer:

Lord, my Way, I walk in You, happy, running a profit. I steer clear of the wilfully rebellious and shoddy, inaccurate folk. You’ve transplanted me to a fruitful, irrigated, evergreen garden.

On the other hand, You do not let the wicked ones sentence us in court or council – they are not going to last. Husks of themselves. The Holy Spirit-Wind blows them away.

Amen.
