1: For David
To Yehoweh – Bless my soul.
To His Holy Name – all around me.
2: To Yehoweh – Bless my soul.
And do not mislay His rewards.
3: The Forgiver of your futile-sins
The Healer of your chronic disease.
4: The Redeemer of your life-prison (life sentence).
The Investiturer / crowner of kindness and rakham- mercy.
5: The Satiater of good finery (taste).
He makes Himself repair your youth like an eagle’s.
6: The Yehoweh Justice Maker for all judgements for the defrauded.
7: He causes to make known His Ways to Moses
and His Acts to the sons of Israel.
8: Kind and Rakham-meecy Yehoweh, even-tempered (long nostril) and great mercy.
9: No exaggerations (emphasis) in his contending,
No begrudging forever.
10: He did not do us in for our missing-the-mark sins (Khatha),
And he did not repay us for our futile-sins (Aven).
11: For as exalted as the heavens are above the earth,
so mighty is His Mercy over those who fear Him.
12: As far as the sunrise (east = mi- zarak) is from the sunset (mi- erev – west),
So He caused our rebellious- sin (psha) to be distanced / receeded from us.
13: As a father Rakham (womb)-mercies his children, so Yehoweh Rakham-mercies over His fearful.
14: For He knew our form,
Rememberer that we are dust.
15: A man is like grass, his days like a blossoming flower of the field. Thus he blossoms.
16: For a wind passed over it, and no one is there.
And noone in their place causes (him) to be recognized anymore.
17: But Yehoweh’s kindness is from forever and to forever over His fearful and His Righteousness to His children’s children,
18: to keepers of His Covenant, to rememberer of his appointments-to-hold-to-account, to do-ers of them.
19: In the heavens, Yehoweh caused to establish His throne and His Kingdom dominated over all.
20: Bless Yehoweh, His mighty strong messengers, do-ers of His speech, to discern a voice in His speech.
21: Bless Yehoweh, all His Parliaments, His servers, do-ers of His pleasure.
22: Bless Yehoweh all His works in all places of His kingdom
Bless Yehoweh, my soul
Prayer: On Simchat Torah, the joy of Your Instruction Manual, You explain how, though we see our Khatha, Aven and Psha through the Torah, we bless You joyfully because You know that though we fear You, we are frail and You do not do us in for missing the mark, You do not repay us for futile sinful less and You distance our rebellious sins from us as far as the east is from the west! Hallelujah!
