Psalm 116: When trouble/sorrow happens during the death of the righteous, they rest from their labour and then Yehoweh unshackles them and they are free to walk in front of Him in the lands of those who live and they raise a toast and say Hallelu-Yah!

I loved it that Yehoweh, He hears my voice, my entreaties.

Because he made his ear stretch to me. And in my days, I call out.

Ropes of death entwined me. Sheol’s distress found / caught up with me. I find trouble (tsara) and sorrow.

And I called out Yehoweh’s Name. And now Yehoweh, deliver my soul!

Gracious Yehoweh. And Just. Our God – Loving Kindness (rakam)!

Watching-out-for-the-open-minded Yehoweh, I was depressed and He caused for me to continue be saved (yehoshia, imperf).

Turn back my soul (fem) to your (fem) rest-after-work. Yehoweh recompensed (perf) over you.

You excised/lifted out my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.

I will make me walk myself in Yehoweh’s face in the lands (eretz) of those (who are) the living (pl).

I had made affirmed, so I speak. I was greatly afflicted.

I alarmedly said all men are liars.

How shall I cause to turn back to Yehoweh for all His benefits/ His weaning  to me?

I lift up a cup of salvations and call out Yehoweh’s Name.

I will wholly complete my vows to Yehoweh, wont I (Na!), in front of all His people. *

Precious in the eyes of Yehoweh, is the death of His righteous.

I pray thee (Ana), Yehoweh, for I am your servant, your servant, the son of your maidservant (amma).  You opened my shackles.

To You I slaughter-sacrifice a slaughter-sacrifice of thanks / praise (thodah from yadah – hands (outstretched). And I call out Yehoweh’s Name.

I will wholly complete my vows to Yehoweh, wont I (Na!), in front of all His people.*

In the courtyard of Yehoweh’s house, in the centre of you, Jerusalem, Shout in joy to Yah (Hallelu-Yah).

Prayer: Lord when our loved ones in You die, it is precious to You. Like Jesus, they rest after their labours but thank you that You then unshackle them. May they all be enjoying seeing your face and walking amongst Jesus and other ‘dead in Christ who rise’ in the lands of the living. May we all be there soon too!  Hallelujah.
