Isaiah 2: Learn to aim for God’s Trails and not eastern traditions of idol worship, work-worship.  For Pride self glorifications are lowered, buried, hastened away.

1: The word (dabar) which Isaiah son of Amoz perceived (kaza-vision) over Judah and Jerusalem.

2: And it happened in the latter days, there is a mountain house of Yehoweh was established on top of mountains and lifted up from hills and all the unbeleiving nations flowed to it.

3: And a great many people walked and said, “Come and ascend to Yehoweh’s mountain, to Jacob’s Gods’ (Elohayee) House.  

And He will instruct (yara -help us to aim and shoot) us in His ways.

And we walk in His Trodden Paths.

For from Zion comes Torah (from yara – instruction)

and Yehoweh’s word (dabar) from Jerusalem.

4: And He judged between the unbeleiving nations. And He caused a great many people to course-correct. And they shattered their swords into things and their spears into shears (pruning equipment). And they do not lift up a sword, an unbelieving nation against an unbelieving nation and they study war no more.

Phew!

5: Come house of Jacob and walk in Yehoweh’s light.

6: For You thrust down Your people, the house of Jacob, for they were replete with the east/tradition. And diviners like Philistines and children of foreigners cause applause.

7: And their land (eretz) is filled with silver and gold

and there is no end to their treasuries.

And their land is filled with horses

And there is no end to their chariots.

8: And their land is filled with false gods (elil) of work of their hands.

They cause themselves to bow dow to what they made with their fingers.

9: Adam is bowed down*.

And a man is low^ and he does not lift them up.

10: Traverse rock and be concealed in dust from Yehoweh’s terror and majesty, His exaltation (v19).

11: Exaltation in Adam’s eyes was lowered^ and the rising up of men was bowed down*.

And in that Day, Yehoweh alone was made inaccessibly elevated.

Stop and think!

12: For its a day to Yehoweh of Parliaments

over all proud and elevated and all lifted up and bowed down*,

13: over all Lebanon’s (whites’) building trees (cedars) which were elevated and lifted up,

and over all Bashan’s (fertile Golan heights) ancient shady trees (oak – Zech 11:1),

14: and over all The elevated mountains ,

And over all the lifted up hillocks,

15: and over all elevated tower-blocks,

And over all protective walls to (batsar – to allow grapes to be cut off and gathered)fortify (?tariffs, immigration checks),

16: and over all the cruise and container ships of Tarshish (sea trade),

And over all the veiled pleasantries.

17: And the Pride of Adam was bowed ,

and the elevation of men was lowered.

And in that Day, Yehoweh alone was in accessibly lifted up (sagav).

18: And the false gods are completely hastened away.

19: and they traversed into caves of rocks, into caves of dust (?concrete)  from Yehoweh’s (face of) terror and majesty, His exaltation (v10)

when He rises-to-establish,

 to tremble the earth (v21).

20: In that Day, the Adam causes to hurl his silver false gods and his gold false gods – which he had made for himself to make himself bow down to himself – to rats and bats to bury.

21: Traversing into clefts of the rocks, into fissures of the crags, from Yehoweh’s (face of) terror and majesty, His exaltation (v10)

when He rises-to-establish,

 to tremble the earth (v19).

22: Cut ye off from the Adam who is panting from his nostrils for what he thought he was.

Prayer: Lord Yehoweh, I turn away from Pride, Idols and work-worship. Steady my hand and teach me haptic skills as I bend the bow You gave me. May I never be deceived into chasing after what will be buried on that day of Yours. Amen.
