Gal 6:2 says bear another’s Baros burdens whilst Gal 6:5 bear your own Fortion burden. Strong’s comment about Fortion (no 5413) vs Baros (no 920)
In the New Testament, “phortion” refers to a load or burden that one must carry. It is often used metaphorically to describe responsibilities or obligations that individuals bear in their personal or spiritual lives. Unlike “baros” (another Greek word for burden), which can imply a heavy or oppressive load, “phortion” often denotes a load that is appropriate or expected for one to carry.

Baros Burdens are heavy and difficult and borne alone – our only reason to pick these up would be to help a fellow believer in trouble.
Fortion burdens are responsibilities – like a ship’s freight – Jesus’ covenantal obligations and Matthew 11:30 reminds us that Jesus’ Fortion burden for us is light.
Jesus connects our Fortio burdens to our Zygos Yoke with an ‘and’ – My yoke is easy AND my burden is light. And He asks us to pick up the Zygos Yoke NOT its attached Fortion Burden (Matt 11:29).
Jesus mentions this to the Thyatiran church’s messenger whose works are known. Despite others being misled by a self proclaimed prophetesss, some of Jesus’ servants were not misled and did not delve into Satan. Jesus tells them, “I will NOT put a Baros burden on you”. (Revelation 2:24)
A Fortion burden probably becomes a Baros burden when you pick up the burden and not the Zygos yoke!!
Prayer: Lord may I only pick up Your easy Yoke but Not even Your light burden and certainly not a difficult yoke or a heavy burden not from You (unless it is to help a fellow-in-Christ). Amen.
