Psalm 84: God’s Glory-and-Grace highway runs from Baka (sobbing) to Braka (blessing).

1: For a chief musician on a Gitthi harp (from Gath where Akish protected David 1 Sam 21, from where Goliath 1 Sam 17 and other giants 2 Sam 21 came). For the children of bald men, a melody ( on a foreign instrument) of praise:

2: What darling and longed for dwelling places are yours, Yehoweh of Parliaments!

My soul also fainted for Yehoweh’s courtyards! My heart and my flesh ring out singing to the Living God –

3: Also/even a sparrow found a house,

And a swallow found herself a nest where she set up her sprouts –

(So to me) Your altars, Yehoweh of Parliaments, my king, my God.

4: Blessed those who dwell in Your house continuously hallelujah-ing you:

Pause and think about that!

5: Blessed a man whose strength is You

Their heart is on your highways,

6: Crossing over (Avar) the valley of sobbing (Baka), they make a spring (M’ayin also eye),

Also they cause blessings (Braka in plural – brakoth) to envelope early rain (Moray – first sign of a fruitful harvest or teacher-archer guide).

7: They walk from efficiency to efficiency.

It is seen by God in a dry mountain (Zion).

8: Hear my prayer Lord Yehoweh of Parliaments! Cause my prayer to be heard, God of the heel-catcher (Jacob).

Pause and think about that!

9: See our shield (is) God!

And cause (yourself) to intently look at the Messiah’s face.

10: For good is a day in your courtyards, than a thousand.

I chose to be a doorkeeper in my God’s house, than to dwell in wicked tents.

11: For (like) sun and shield God Yehoweh gives glory and grace.

He does not withhold  good from those walking blamelessly.

12: Yehoweh of Parliaments, blessed the man who trusts in you.

Prayer: O Lord, I long for my dear place of waiting and sacrifice to You which I share with all creation. As we drive down the highway, keeping our eyes on Jesus, to reach this dwelling place, strengthen us to make the sobbing of our hearts into blessing, into efficiency and strength. Let our tears water the harvest crop. And when we reach, O Lord, we need You as our shield to be Your doorkeepers even if it’s only for a day. O Lord thank you for your glory and grace and all the good things you bestow on us. Hallelujah!
