1: Hear to The Word – this which I am bearing up against you – a house of Israel dirge.
2: She fell
She is not being caused to increase, to resurrect,
The bride, Israel, was abandoned on her soil,
No one to make her resurrect.
3: For thus said Lord Yehoweh of the city: She has a thousand going out. She has a hundred remaining. And of the hundred going out of her , ten are made to remain in the house of Israel.
Pause!
4: For this said Yehoweh to the house of Israel
Seek Me and Live.
5: And they do not seek me in god-house (Beth El)
and they don’t come to the stone-circle (Gilgal)
And they don’t cross over to seven-well (Beer Sheeba).
For the stone-circle is uncoveringly uncovered.
And it happens that god-house is panting uselessly (Aven -to pant – iniquity).
6: Seek for Yehoweh and live, lest He advances like fire, house of Joseph (added-on).
And she, god-house, had no one to consume and quench it.
7: They who overturn justice to bitterness (wormwood)
And caused righteousness to be laid down.
8: The Maker of ornaments and fools (constellations: Keema uksil – Pleiades (marker for harvest) and Orion (moros))
Overturner of morning to death-shadow,
He caused the day to darken as night.
The caller of waters of the sea,
He pours them out on the face of the land.
His Name is Yehoweh.
Pause!
9: He who causes good cheer (by) destruction of mighty and
destruction of strongholds –
He comes!
10: They hated arguing at the entrance (gate) and
they detest speaking wholeness.
11: So then because you trample on the weak and you seize grain tax from him,
you built stone-walled houses and you don’t dwell in them,
you planted delightful vineyards but you don’t drink of the wine from them.
12: For I knew you great rebellions (Pesha) and your numerous inadvertent missing the marks (Khatha – lowered standards)
Afflicting the just by seizing ransom (bribe – cover – from kippur), then turning away the poor folk from the entrance!
13: And so, at that time, it makes sense that he is silent for it is a bad time. (Ra = troublesome difficulty but not contrary to God).
14: Seek good and not bad (Ra) so that you live.
And so He is (Yhiyeh) Yehoweh, God of Parliaments with you as you spoke.
15: Hate bad and love good.
Make justice permanent at the entrance.
Perhaps Yehoweh, God of Parliaments might be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.
Pause!
16: And so then says Yehoweh Lord god of Parliaments:
In all plazas, Lamentation.
In all open country, they say, “hoye, hoye” (Oh or Hai or Ayyo).
The farmer called for bewailing and lamentation referring to known laments.
17: And in all the vineyards, Lamentation.
For I cross over (from Avar as in Hebrew, as in Abraham or the Jordan crossing) the middle of you says Yehoweh.
Pause!
18: Ayyo! There are ones who are making themselves crave a day of Yehoweh!
For what?
A day of Yehoweh for you is this:
It is darkness – not light!
It is like a man who flees from the lion’s face and encounters the bear!
And he went into the house and sags against the wall and the snake bit him!
20: Is not a day of Yehoweh darkness? And Not light?
And not gloom? And not brightness in it?
21: I hated, I despised the feasts (khag not moed) of yours.
I do not let My Spirit on your (church services) assemblies.
22: For even if you arrange to lift up (aelo from aliyah) burnt offerings (olot from aliyah) and donations (offerings from your produce – minkha),
I am not pleased.
And I will not look at your rebelliously (from mara) fattened (bolstered) peace offer.
23: Turn down the volume of your songs for me.
I will not listen to your string concertos.
24: And justice rolls down like water.
And perpetually mighty and enduring righteousness like a stream.
25: You arranged sacrifices and donations to be offered to me in the desert for 40 years, house of Israel.
26: And you lifted up to your Sikkut (tent) kings and your Kiyun (establishment) idols and your Star gods which you made for yourselves.
27: I caused you to be uncovered to the other side of Damasek (Damascus) says Yehoweh.
God of Parliaments is His Name.
Stop and think!
Prayer: Lord, you are judging Israel and the church for replacing righteousness and justice with futile godless panting, rebellious ritual and low standards. Your day of judgement is gloom and darkness, a day of lamentation and bad trouble for us. Dreadful!
