Amos 3: No smoke without a fire, No event not prophesied, No rebellion not called to Account.

1: Hear the word of the Lord – this which Yehoweh spake concerning/against sons of Israel,

concerning/against all the family which I had made to aliyah/ ascend from the land of Egypt, saying

2: Of all the families upon the land, I only knew you all.  

So I hold you to account concerning/ against all your sins.

3: Can two walk as one unless they meet?

4: Can a lion roar in the forest when he has no prey?

Can a young lion call out of its den if it had not caught anything?

5: Can a bird fall into a net on the land without a snare for it?

And without  a bait can a snare ascend from the earth to catch – and not catch?

6: If a trumpet is blown in a city and people are not afraid

If evil happens in a city and Yehoweh did not do it

7: Then Lord Yehoweh Word  does nothing.

Then if he uncovers a secret to his servants the prophets,

8: A lion roared and who is not frightened?

Lord Yehoweh spake, who is not prophesied about ?

9: Make to be heard in the palaces in Ashdod (From Shadad, where the captured Ark was taken), in the places of the land of Egypt, and say

10: Be gathered on the Watchers (Shomron) mountain, and see the great tumult in her midst and the oppressed within her.

and those who preserved violence (Hamas), devastation (Shadad) in their palaces, they knew not to do right.

 

 The Word of God (Yshua).

 

Pause there!

 

11:  So thus says Lord Yehoweh.

And the land surrounding enemy, He caused to be brought down from you and your strength was plundered from your palaces.

12: This says Yehoweh, As The Pasturer causes to snatch 2 legs and a part of a ear from The lion’s mouth,

So sons of Israel and the Shomron (Watchers) inhabitants are being snatched from a bed corner and from a Damascus sofa.

13: Hear and make a witness against house of heel snatcher (Jacob),

 

Word of Lord Yehoweh (Yshua), God of the Parliaments.

 

14: For in a day, I hold Israel to account for their  rebellions.

And I held them to account for altars in the house of God (Bethel).

And the horns of the altar were felled and cast to the ground (land).

15: And I caused the smiting of

a house of the Autumn harvest (Karof ~Kharif)

and a house of the Summer harvest.

And they destroyed  houses of the ivory.

They terminated great houses.

 

The Word of Yehoweh.

 

Think about that!

 

Prayer:

 

Lord, when we hear your roar, see the bird caught in the net, may we hear and see and understand and turn away from rebelliously ignoring your prophetic warnings. Amen.
