Amos 4: If you don’t return to Jesus, expect trouble and be prepared to be called Up – to Him.

1: Hear this, The word: Cows of the Bashan (Golan heights) who are on the mountain of Shomron (Watchers) who are oppressors (Amos 3:10) of poor, breakers of needy, sayers to their husbands, get yourselves to come and let us drink.

2: Lord Yehoweh swore by His Holiness that behold coming are days upon you (when) He lifts you on a shield and latterly on fish hooks

3: and through breaches, they, (female) go, a (each) woman in front (?lined up in queue) , made to be hurled out (to)  Ha Harmonah (?the Mount Mona – The mountain of weighing or counting, ? The Armenia)

 

The Word of Yehoweh (Yshua) .

 

4: Come, house of God (Bethel), rebel at stone circles (Gilgal), cause an increase of rebellion ..

and cause to come on your morning sacrifices for 3 days and your tenths / tithes!

5:  Burn Leaven as incense offering of thanks!

Make announcements of your free will offerings!

For you loved this, sons of Israel!

 

The Word Lord Yehoweh (Yshua is Lord).

 

6: And then I gave clean teeth to you in all your cities – a lack of food/bread in all your places.  

 

And you did not return to Me, Word Yehoweh (Yshua).

 

7: And then I, I withheld the rain showers from you when there was still 3 months to harvest.

And I made it rain on one city.

I made it not rain on one city.

It rained on one plot.

And in the plot where I did not make it rain, it withers.

8: Two to three cities tottered to one city to drink water but they are not satisfied.

 

And you did not return to Me,

Word Yehoweh (Yshua).

 

9: I caused you to be smitten with scorching to cause an increase in the plant disease (pale green) in your gardens and your vineyards and your  fig trees (Matt 21:18, Mark 11:14) and your olive trees.

The locust eats.

 

And you did not return to Me,

Word Yehoweh (Yshua).

Pause!

10: I spread a plague among you in an Egyptian way.

I killed your young service men with a sword along with hostages and your horses.

A stench ascended to your nostrils from your encampments.

And you did not return to Me,

Word Yehoweh  (Yshua).

 

11: I overturned in you, like God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

You are like a poker made to be snatched out of a conflagration.

And you did not return to Me,

Word Yehoweh (Yshua).

Pause!

 

12: And then this is what I do, Israel – heel supplanter (Yakev – Jaceb):

So this is what I do to you:

Be prepared to be called up to an appointment your God, Israel.

13: For behold

He moulds mountains (Matt 21:18,21, Mark 1:14,22 or referencing The mountain in v2?),

He creates wind,

He causes announcements to man about what contemplation makes a unit (Ephah) of dawn

And marching on high land.

Yehoweh, God of Parliaments is His Name.

Pause.

Prayer:

Lord May we turn to You, turn back to You. May we not rebel, exploit or hide behind religious ritual. May we be spared drought, disease and  death. You, who made the units which measure light, shaped mountains and created the wind. We see you striding across Highland and worship! We remember your cursing the fig tree and then telling us You would move mountains for us if we asked. May we join William Carey (Deathless sermon on Is 54:2-3, Friar Lane Baptist Chapel, Nottingham 30 May 1792) to practice  “Expect great things for God, Attempt great things for God”  – Yehoweh, God of Parliaments, our God!
