Zechariah 12: Jesus’ plan for lament, grace and supplications of Jewish families for a post-Davidic Jesus – in  Jerusalem first, then Judah – replacing those who besieged them.

1: Yehoweh’s word (Yshua’s) burden over Israel :

The Word of Yehoweh (Yshua)  is stretching out heavens and founding earth and designing man’s spirit within him.

 

Pause and think about that!

 

2: Behold, I am setting  in Jerusalem a reeling cup for all the surrounding people (who) also are in siege over Judah, over Jerusalem.

3: And it happened in a day that I set a loaded rock in Jerusalem for all peoples.

All who carry the load are cutting cut –  All nations of earth gathered against it.

4: In that day, I, the Word of Yehoweh, cause a horse to be struck with bewilderment .

and his rider with madness.

I open my eyes on the house of Judah

and cause the people’s horse to be smitten with blindness.

5: And the governors of Judah said in their hearts, the strength to Jerusalem’s inhabitants is in Yehoweh of Parliaments, their God.

6: In that day I make the governors of Judah like a pan of fire

 in which sticks of wood are on fire like a torch in which sheaves of grain are consumed – to right and to left – all surrounding people.

And in their stead, inhabited Jerusalem again.

 

Pause and think about that!

 

7: Yehoweh caused to save the tents of Judah first in order that not greater is the beauty in House David and the beauty in Jerusalem’s inhabitants than Judah’s.

 

8: On that day, Yehoweh causes Jerusalem’s inhabitants to be covered from behind as it happened to those who tottered among them as it did to David and David’s house –  

Like God, like God’s Messenger before their faces.

9: It happened in that day that I seek to exterminate all nations which come against Jerusalem.

10: And I poured on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, a spirit of grace and supplications.

And they caused to look on me whom they pierced.

 And they wailed for Him as a lament for The One.

And they caused bitter weeping Him as one causes to weep bitterly for a firstborn.

11: In that day lament  grows in Jerusalem like lament at Khadad (Syrian rain god)  Rimmon (Syrian thunder god where Namaan used to go, where Benjaminites refuges after being attacked by fellow Israelites for a violent rape Judges 20-21, where ) in Megiddo (Tower or Cut down & destroyed) plain (traditional mourning for the good king Josiah killed whilst unnecessarily fighting in disguise 2 Chron 35:25).

12: And the land mourned by families. By families separately.

The house of David’s (beloved) family separate, and their women separate.

The house of Nathan’s (Given)  family separate, and their women separate.

13: The house of Levi’s (Joined) family separate, and their women separate.

The house of Hashmei’s family separate, and their women separate.

14: All families who are the remnant separate, families by families separate and their women separate.

 

Pause and think about that!

 

Prayer: O Lord, it’s all Your plan happening! We know that it is no good for a nation to be against Israel (just happened). O Lord, you draw our eyes to a non-tribal family grouping of Jews (happened), where Governors are in place of King David in Jerusalem and Judah (happened). We know that there are messianic Jews now and this is increasing.  How wonderful for the remnant of Your first people to turn their hearts to you! Amen.
