In Your strength
rejoicing is a king
And In Your Jesus,
how much more gladly.
2: You gave His heart’s desires
to him
You never withheld
A wish on his lips (unspoken).
Ponder that!
3: For approaching him
are Your blessings of goodness
Setting on his head
is a crown of refined gold. (Not regular gold)
4: he asked for life from You
You gave him days of forever-and-ever length!
5: His great glory is in Your Jesus.
On him – Resembling (Jesus’) honour and glory!
6: Setting on him blessings forever
Making him overjoyed with your Face
7: Because of mercy of the Most High
A trusting-YHWH king is not shaken.
8: Your hand will find all your obstructers
Your right hand will find your haters.
9: You are facing them,
like (them facing) a fiery oven.
In a temper (nostril), YHWH gulps them down,
eats them up.
10: You will make their fruit (current profit) rot away from the land
And their seed (future plans) from the sons of men.
11: for they spread out evil over you, planned a purpose (for you)
They are being disabled.
12: Tightening a (bow)string against shoulder,
you are setting (aiming it) to their faces.
YHWH is exalted in your strength
We sing, we make music about your might.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, may our leaders rejoice and trust in You. And may You be exalted in their strength. Amen.
