1: And at the time The Great, The Prince Who-Is-Like-God (Mi-ka-El) stands up, standing over the sons of your people. And it was a time of trouble which had never been and is to be in an unbelieving nation till that time. All your people are slipped away in that time – the ones who are found written in a book.
2: And many asleep in dust of field are made to wake up – these to life forever and these to reproach, to aversion everlasting.
Pause and think about that!
3: And the prudent ones are made to shine like the shining firmament.
And in the many righteous ones like stars forever and ever.
How about that!
4: And you, My-Judge-is-God (Daniel), shut up the words and seal up the book till the time of the end (kets).
Many rove and knowledge increases.
5: And I, Daniel, saw – behold two others stood – one on this lip of the river and one on this lip of the river.
6: And I say to the man clothed in white linen who is on the waters of the river, “Till when is the end of the wonders?”
7: And I hear The Man clothed in the white linen who is on the waters of the river. And he makes his right hand and his left hand exalted to the heavens. And he is sworn in by a living one forever divided to an appointed time (festival, Moed), appointed times (moedim) – to finish, to shatter a holy people’s hand – they are finishing all these things.
8: And I heard but do not understand. And I say, “My Lord what are the latter things?”
Pause and think!
9: And he says, “ Go (Lek) Daniel. The shut up and sealed up Words are till the end (kets) of (a) time. (The revelation will be retrospective)
10: They make themselves purified and make themselves white and are refined.
The ungodly were greatly ungodly. All ungodly do (shall) not understand.
But the prudent understand.
11: From the time continuity was made to be turned aside to set up the abomination to appall (Daniel 11:31), 1290 days. *
12: Blessed is the one who waits. And he causes to reach 1335 days.
13: But you go (Lek) to the end (kets). And you rest and you stand for your lot at the end of The days.
*{Antiochus Epiphanes stops temple routines on 15 Kislev 167BC and sets up the appalling abomination. Daniel 7-12 is written just before he dies in December 164BC. The Maccabees purify the temple on 25 Kislev (Jan14) 163 BC (Hanukkah).
Prayer
Lord, as we look back at what You did, like prudent Daniel, You call us to Go away and rest till the end. You will stand us up, resurrected for our inheritance (lot) in the end.
