Psalm 27 (the sacrifice song of joy on Yom Thruah)

1: To David.

Yehoweh my light and my salvation (va- Ishi). Whom am I fearing?

Yehoweh my life’s stronghold.

Whom am I dreading?

2: Flesh- eating Wickedness-makers coming against me? Opposing narrow-minded? Them? They tottered and fell.

3: if an encampment (Makneh) encamps (thikneh) against me, my heart does not fear.

If a battle arises against me, through this I am trusting.

4: To sojourn in the house of Yehoweh is the one thing I begged of Yehoweh, the very thing I am demanding, To behold the beauty of YHWH all of the days of my life, To inquire in His palace.

5: For He makes me to hide in His Sukkoth (hut, covering, pavilion, tabernacle).

On an evil or disagreeable day, He is hiding me in a secret tent (ahello – tabernacle) on Rock, lifting me up.

6: And thus my head, it is lifted up above my surrounding enemies. And in His tent I will sacrifice –  slaughter sacrifices of Joy (THRUAH).

I will sing and I will make (instrumental) music to Yehoweh.

7: Hear Yehoweh – my voice is calling out.

And have mercy on me (Vey chanaeni)

And answer me (Vey anaeyni)

8: my heart is speaking to you

My face is demanding Your face

9: Don’t make your face to hide from me.

Don’t turn away in a temper (nostril flare) from your servant.

You have been my help.

Dont you leave me

Dont you forsake me

My God, My Jesus (salvation).

10: When my father and my mother departed from me (azbooni)

And Yehoweh (is and will) gather me up (yasfeni)

11: Yehoweh, cause me to aim towards Your Way –

because there are my treacherous onlookers – guide me to an upright (level) path.

12: don’t give me to narrow minded souls if(when) they stand up as false witnesses against me and breathe violence (Hamas).

13: If I had not got confirmed (got Amen-ed) to see the goodness of God in the land of the living

14: Wait (Kahvey) on Yehoweh

Be courageous – He strengthens your heart.

And wait (Vey-Kahveh) on Yehoweh.

(PS Jer 29:11 Tikvah (hope) is based on Kaveh (wait))
